a job has came up for a 9 month secondment in banking, which means that you would be working in banking for 9 months and then return to your current job. i think i would actually like to go for it, however because my contract ends in 9 weeks and i don’t have a clue what is happening with it, i probably would have a low chance of even being considered. say i got kept on, i could give it a try and go down to banking for a while, if i was successful. but then if my contract ends, there is no way that i’d be able to do it, because its not another contract and they wouldn’t make it one.

i don’t even know when the place for the job starts though.

it would have been a nice change, if not slightly daunting as any new job is, and a good way to get more experience in dealing with client requests, the process of payments and working on the counter in the banking hall.

i may speak to myra next week about it and my contract but i’m not feeling so hopeful about it and i’m unsure why.

probably going to start looking at other jobs when i come back from tour, as that will be the end of march and my contract is up on may 2nd. i am hoping that they will have an answer for me by then though.
